Trulink Wireless USB to VGA review

I owed six different set-top boxes on my TV, all hoses claiming my content from my computer to my TV. And my TV has a built in DLNA figures such sessions. "Sem Why so?" You may well ask, as almost everyone else who came to my house. Well, I have many files on the hard drives on my network, comments, MKV, isos, etc ... and although it will play * all * back. ensure that everything is going to play very well with advance notice and some even play MKV, but have a subtitle file and panic. ISO file? Forget him? So my search continues without end.

A most obvious alternative is to shell out the actual PC of some kind and place it under my TV. And I looked at a Mac Mini from afar for many, many times. However, Mac Minis are not cheap. And even if HTPC is usually a fair cost.

TruLink have made an attractive alternative to my house - a kit wireless USB to VGA (do not worry, I must return!). Basically, a pair of electronic keys for your laptop and a screen - a projector, big-ass screen or television. Connection set up means the key in my MacBook, OSX realize was supported, cry a little, then caught an old Compaq laptop, where things are up and running in no time.

The 30 feet range is technically right - but to play rock solid I get a little closer. You usually need to be well in your living room than average. The picture quality is quite strong, and I shined a pair of hi-res images, videos and PowerPoint presentations that worked perfectly.

A hard blow to the teeth is that the system does not transmit audio. This should not surprise anyone because it has the name - USB to VGA allows quite clear that this is a unique product video. However, you can not help but sigh and think what could have been. Or buy the wireless kit TruLink HDMI video and audio magic (next revision).
